Outstanding work by Nicolás Tivani who is fifth overall.
Nicolás Tivani once again completed a very good stage today, which finished in Jáchal, much better than yesterday’s since the Team Corratec rider got into the leading group and was the protagonist of the final sprint, finishing the stage in 5th place and being the best Argentinian in this second stage.
More Argentinians with a leading role in this second chapter were the members of the Argentinian team, Tomás Contte and Marcos Méndez. Both staged an initial escape along with ten other participants, and in the case of Contte he won the pass through the mountain finish line and is now the overall leader in this specialty while Méndez is second. Something similar with Gerardo Tivani (Virgen de Fátima), who won the two sprints and is the leader with 6 points.
In the general classification, Nicolás Tivani is the best Argentinian with an accumulated time of 7:41:38, located 10 seconds behind the leaders Bennett and Jakobsen. In 39th place is Laureano Rosas (Gremios por el Deporte) with the same accumulated time as Tivani, as well as Leandro Messineo (Chimbas Te Quiero) 44th, Juan Pablo Dotti (SEP San Juan) 46th, Maximiliano Navarrete (Sports Guilds) 51st, Franco Buchanan (Virgin of Fatima) 62nd, Mateo Kalejman (SEP San Juan) 63rd, Emiliano Ibarra (Sports Guilds) 66th, Rodrigo Díaz (Rawson Municipality) 67th and Ricardo Escuela (Municipality of Pocito) 68°.
