Hit by the Chilean team in this fifth stage, since thanks to the great work of Vicente Rojas, who finished in 14th place in today’s tough stage, the trans-Andean team went on to lead the general classification of national teams, with a accumulated time of 61:53:02 hours.
In second place the Argentine team, which accumulates 62:28:20 hours, remaining 35:18 minutes from Chile. The local team had Maximiliano Richeze as their best classified, coming in 60th place in the stage.
Manlio Moro was the best of the Italian team, finishing in 89th place in the stage and in this way Italy marches in 3rd place with a time of 62:52:26 hours to 59:24 minutes from Chile, while Uruguay in the 4th place with 63:11:50 hours of total time, had Antonio Fagundez in the 51st place of this 5th stage.
