After an extremely conservative stage by the UCI Pro Tour cyclists, the most exciting moment occurred just five kilometers before when the member of the Eolo – Kometa Cycling Team, the Italian Simone Bevilacqua gained meters at the entrance of the Circuit San Juan Villicum. He was surprising because of the force with which he broke away from the pack and at times it was thought that he was unreachable. However, that brief dream lasted until they stepped on the opposite straight of the circuit where he was neutralized.
At the moment of truth, at the moment of seeing the checkered flag, it was -again- the Italian Giacomo Nizzolo (Israel – Premier Tech) the best classified, with fifth place in the stage, standing out in the three stages that took place and always being among the top ten of each set.
Other Pro Tour that continue to show that they are going to keep fighting are Peter Sagan (Team Total Energies), who finished sixth in the stage and is fifth overall; Nicolás Tivani (Team Corratec), from San Juan who was seventh in the Villicum and is eighth overall.
Highlight the 9th position of the Italian Daniel Oss (Team Total Energies) occupying the same position in the general classification.
The fourth stage will join the San Juan Villicum Circuit with the Barreal square, visiting the Vuelta, for the first time, the Calingasta department, covering 196.5 kilometers. The neutralized departure time will be 14:26 and the real one at 14:46.
