He was accompanied on the podium by the Colombian cyclist Fernando Gaviria, who always lives up to these definitions and culminated in the third step of the podium, Jon Aberasturi from Spain.

After the podium ceremony, the three best went through a press conference and left their following statements, as well as the best Argentine, Nicolás Tivani from Team Corratec:

Fabio Jakobsen (Soudal Quick – Step): “I am very happy to have the strongest legs and that is what gave me the victory today”. “Since the start I have been attentive and I am lucky to have a rainbow jersey that took me to the end as Remco (Evenepoel) did today.”

Fernando Gaviria (Movistar Team): “I’m happy with the performance of the whole team, it’s very satisfying to have the climbers who gave me a great hand challenging me and everything turned out better today than on the first day.” “It hasn’t been my best sprint, the year before I had bad sprints but I ended up winning some races in the 2022 Saudi Arabia Tour.”

Jon Aberasturi (Trek – Segafredo): “Today was another opportunity to play the sprint, we took advantage of it and the team accompanied me until the last meters but the sensations of the first volata of the year were good for me”. “It has not been a definition with many curves, today the cleanest sprint took place where the roads were shortened shortly”.

Nicolás Tivani (Team Corratec): “Super happy, towards the end I got behind Fernando (Gaviria) but then they locked me up and I couldn’t get any higher. I keep the feeling of being with high-level cyclists”. “Today the sensations were better, I felt at another level, that’s why I took a little more risk in the definition but in the same way it is the beginning of the season and all this is training for the Giro d’Italia”.
